My background in theater arts in NYC and years of experience working in LA have shaped a unique approach to coaching and directing. I’ve developed a deep understanding of storytelling, performance, and how to translate a writer's vision into something authentic on screen.
Whether working with a procedural drama, light-hearted sitcom, or indie feature, I quickly break down material, identify key emotional beats, and guide actors to connect with their characters in a meaningful way. My goal has always been to ensure performances reflect the writer’s intent—creating moments that resonate with casting directors and audiences alike.At Audition House, I tailored each session to the actor’s needs—coaching, directing, and providing on-camera feedback that elevated their performance. The focus was never just on “getting the job done” but on cultivating an environment where actors could explore, take risks, and leave a lasting impression.Running Audition House wasn’t just about directing and coaching actors—it was also about managing the day-to-day logistics of a thriving creative business. During peak times, such as pilot season, I was responsible for shooting anywhere from 10 to 20 actors a day, often working 5 to 7 days a week. I coordinated closely with actors, their agents, managers, and casting directors to ensure that each audition was delivered promptly and professionally.At its height, Audition House expanded to four locations with a team of 12 readers—actors who supported sessions by reading opposite the clients. These readers honed their craft by immersing themselves in the process, gaining invaluable experience by working on thousands of auditions. The philosophy behind this model was simple but profound: mastery comes through practice. Just as one cannot create the perfect clay pot by designing a single masterpiece, the true art is forged through creating thousands of pots. This hands-on approach fostered both creative growth and community within the studio.This combination of creative direction, logistical management, and mentorship made Audition House a trusted name in West Hollywood for high-quality, quick-turnaround self-tape services.
